I met up the lovely Dionne from super-brand, Deciem at Farmacy which is a new healthy eating restaurant in Westbourne Grove. The interiors are beautiful – light and airy- and the food very much falls into the clean eating category and is perfectly presented. It’s like an aspirational #healthylifestyle IG feed come to life. I had the avocado on muffin (when in Rome…) and it was delicious. It was great catching up with Dionne and hearing about all the launches Deciem have coming up under their various sub-brands. Exciting things to look forward to include specialist lip products, Spf products and more in the way of colour. The new stand alone Deciem store has just opened in London’s Spitalfields and we can expect more of those too!
Next up was the launch of the updated version of Le Sablier, Diptyque’s hourglass scent diffuser. The event was based around time and the difference ways it can be perceived. This was fun and interesting but the real star was the product itself – it’s just so so pretty and covetable. It will be available in 6 scents and, while there wasn’t one I don’t love and wouldn’t have in my home, 34 Boulevard is my favourite. The scent should last between 3 and 6 months depending on how often you turn the hourglass. They launch in May and will be £120 for the main piece with refills at £36. This doesn’t sound too bad to me but maybe I’m just trying to justify the cost as I really want one!
As I single mum I like to try and involve my daughter with my blog as much as possible. Therefore, I really appreciated the Latest In Beauty team saying she could come along to the launch of their collaboration with the soon to be released movie, Beauty and the Beast. It was held at the Lanesborough on Hyde Park Corner which is a traditional, luxury hotel. We both had a lovely time and Hannah really enjoyed playing the grown up getting her nails done and the kind attention she received. The Beauty and the Beast beauty boxes are real winners too with a version for both men and women. They’re only £20 but contain between £80 and £100’s worth of really good products along with some great discount vouchers for the included brands. My favourites in the women’s box are the Oribe Dry Shampoo and Bert’s Bees Lipstick though I’d use every single product included.
