As I’ve been using the No7 LIft & Luminate Serum for the 8+ months since it launched last year I wasn’t expecting my skin to improve much further after adding the newly launched Lift & Luminate Day, Night and Eye Cream into my routine. However, after 4 weeks of using the products in combination I was really happy to see that my skin looks smoother, calmer, creamier and more plumped. It also feels a lot softer and less tight and dry. My personal experience has been that this range really does work #BetterTogether.
I think a big advantage of using the whole Lift & Luminate range is that the products have been formulated to support each other and there’s no chance of any ingredients clashing and causing problems. As much as we try and educate ourselves about skin care ingredients, there’s always a risk that when you mix and match brands there’s going to be a negative interaction between the ingredients you’re applying.
This interaction might not cause any obvious problems immediately but you could get a low grade irritation or inflammation which builds up over time. Basically, ageing is the result of inflammation (hence the term ‘inflammaging’) so keeping skin calm is a really important aspect of skin health. After sticking to just the Lift & Luminate range I certainly felt my skin was more soothed, calmer and less sensitive to things like changes in temperature.
I’ve written about the clinically proven ingredients in the Lift & Luminate products in my first post HERE and, as well as making a tangible difference to my skin, they’re also a pleasure to use. They absorb quickly, sit well under makeup and don’t pill. They have a really nice scent that’s subtle and not at all overpowering.
As one might expect, the day cream is lighter in consistency than the night cream and contains SPF 15 and 5 Star UVA protection. The UVA star rating system was devised by Boots and 5 stars is the most a product can have. It means the product provides as much protection against UVA rays as it does against UVB rays. This goes way beyond the minimum required by the EU which is great as it’s UVA rays that are mainly responsible for ageing the skin.
Though improvements to the current condition of my skin are nice, when it comes to skincare I mainly look for products that will look after my skin over the long term and slow down the rate that it ages. I genuinely believe that the Lift & Luminate range will do that and can recommend it without hesitation.
The No7 Lift & Luminate range is available now from Boots. The Serum (30 or 50ml) is £27/34.95, The Day Cream (50ml) is £24.95, The Night Cream (50ml) is £24.95 and The Eye Cream (15ml) is £17. All the products are available on a 2 for 3 promotion.
