If I had to pick a side when it’s comes to straight or curly hair it would have to be straight. However, sticking with one style isn’t compulsory (though it’s what most of us tend to do) and it’s nice to have the option to change things up once in a while. Curlformers are the latest way to add some curls to your locks and their big selling point is they won’t damage your hair.
Curlformers are like an updated version of the foam hair twists but give you more control and choice. They come in three curl styles – 1. Barrel for loose curls, 2. Spiral for medium curls and 2. Corkscrew for the tight ones. There’s even options for different hair lengths.
You apply them to damp hair, wait for it to dry (you can speed things up by using their Softhood) and then take them out and style. It does take a bit of practise putting the Curlformers in properly but it doesn’t take too long to grasp the method. It’s one of those things where it’s easier to demonstrate than explain so here’s a little video clip:
The Curlformers site has lots of inspiration to help you decide the look you wish to go for as well as some how-to videos.
The time the curls last really does depend on how long you let them set for, your hair type, the weather etc. but they should last out until the end of an evening. Prices start at about £8.95 for a few Curlformers and got up to about £48.95 for a big kit for extra long hair.
