When it comes to the beauty brand, Fresh my focus has been entirely on the Tinted Lip Treatments. My obsession with them meant that all the other products just seemed to fade into the background. This is a bit silly because if you love something a brand does there’s a big chance that you’re going to like their other offerings too. Therefore, I was delighted to get some Fresh skincare to try and here are my thoughts…
Soy Face Cleanser
I’m a firm believer in using no-fuss cleansers that gets the job done without any risk of irritation or dryness and this product fits that bill perfectly. I actually wasn’t expecting it to be so gentle and innocuous and love how it cleans away dirt and makeup without stripping my skin. Soy extract has both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and it’s both protective and calming. It also contains calming rosewater along with soothing cucumber which is what gives it its subtle scent. The cleanser itself has a gel-like consistency and, in my opinion, is best used with with a non-abrasive flannel or face cloth.
The Soy Face Cleanser is £30 for 150ml and available HERE.
Rose Floral Toner
I know toners have fallen out of favour recently but I still think they have their uses. Though the Rose Floral Toner is lovely to use in the traditional cleanse, tone and moisturise way, I prefer to use it as a skin refresher and hydrator. It’s great to spritz on before applying moisturiser or makeup primer for an extra hydration boost. Also, if you’re at home during the day or evening and like to keep your skincare topped up the Rose Floral Toner is perfect for swiping over the skin every few hours before re-applying your next cream or serum. It’s alcohol-free and smells gorgeous.
The Rose Floral Toner is £31 for 250ml and available HERE.
Rose Face Mask
I didn’t ‘get’ this product initially. Though it was nice enough I didn’t feel it really did anything. However, I decided to give it a go when my skin was red, dry, sore and generally over-sensitised due to a retinoid reaction and it calmed it down considerably. Everything else I put on my skin made it sting but the Rose Face Mask felt cool, neutral and soothing. After this I really understood its value. It has a light gel texture and is infused with rose petals.
The Rose Face Mask is £47 for 100ml and available HERE.
