The Dermedics Skin Care System is the kind of range that I find particularly appealing as the products are innovative and high tech. Also, you’re buying into solid research & development and good ingredients rather than fancy packaging and expensive advertising campaigns. It’s new to the UK but it’s an international company that’s already available in 32+ countries. As well as making home-use skincare they also make professional cosmetics and equipment.
There’s a big choice of products and the info provided for each of them is one of the most in depth I’ve come across. On the one hand this great but on the other it’s also quite overwhelming. However, it’s important to remember it’s a range that’s been designed to be largely sold in salons and clinics where you’ll be advised on which products to get. However, a smaller selection is available to buy online where it’s quite simple to pick out the products that would work for you.
These are the the products over the last couple of months.
Ceramide Creamy Cleanser
This is a real find. It cleanses really well and also removes makeup (though I haven’t tried it with waterproof mascara). It leaves skin clean but also really soft and comfortable which isn’t surprising as it contains the following: Skin-identical Ceramides, Hydrolipidic Dermollient, D-panthenol, Green Tea, Boswellia, Licorice, Coconut Oil, Lauric Acid, Allantoin.
It’s a actually a 3-in-1 product as it can also be used as moisturiser and mask. It’s been formulated so it’s suitable for sensitive and irritated skin and is free from soap, SLS, SLES, parabens, alcohol, colorants and allergens.
It’s 19.50 for 150ml and available HERE.
Biomimetic Lamellar Cream
This is my favourite in the range. It claims to ‘Utilises UV light to revitalise the skin by supporting the creation of Vitamin D’ and, admittedly, I find it quite hard to get my head round this. However, the main ingredients are top class: Phospholipids, Ceramide NP, Squalane, D-panthenol, Green Tea, Boswellia, Licorice, Salicylate Silanol, Allantoin, Tetrapeptide-33, Hydrolipidic Dermollient.
The name refers to the way the cream mimics the lamellar structure of the skin and creates a ‘second skin’ effect. It’s great for repairing and maintaining a strong skin barrier function and it makes my skin look and feel really healthy.
It’s £44.50 for 50ml and available HERE.
Total Lifting Cream
This is for those who are 40+ and is an all round anti-ager that targets lines, wrinkles and firmness with a mix of peptides and moisturisers. As much as it’s a lovely product, I’d prefer to shine a light on a different one in the same series – The Global Anti-Aging Cream.
The reason for this is that Global Anti-Aging Cream is a more innovative and advanced product that stimulates cellular activity for DNA repair and protects the extra cellular matrix. What I also like about the it is that it comes in 3 versions for different ages – 30-35+, 40-45+ and 60+.
Total Lifting Cream is £49.95 for 50ml and available HERE.
Global Anti-Aging Cream #2 (for 40/40+) is £54 for 50ml and available HERE.
Remodelling Eye Cream
This is more of a light lotion than a cream and contains some of the same ingredients as the above two creams with the addition of others such as the peptide Cyclopeptide-5 and VoluFL to increase skin volume. It absorbs really quickly and is light enough for me to use overnight without leaving me with puffy eyes in the morning.
It’s £32 for 15ml and available HERE.
Cream Hydra Deluxe
This contains Snow Algae which is being touted as the key to skin’s longevity by activating the Klotho gene. It basically boosts the production of collagen as well as smoothing and hydrating skin. Also included are Oxygen Liposomes, Retinol, SPA DCX, Hyaluronic Acid Filler, Betaglucan, Phospholipids, Emollients, Vitamin E and Panthenol.
Because of the retinol I’ve been using this at night and I wake up to skin that feels plump and firm. Of course, the real results come with time and continued use.
It’s £56 for 50ml and available HERE.
Cream Hydra Deluxe Eye Care
This is similar to the above product but has been formulated for use around the eyes. It’s lighter in texture and has an instant cooling and de-puffing effect.
It’s £30 for 15ml and available HERE.This post contains press samples unless otherwise stated. Please visit my Disclosure page for more information
