Following my post on the new shades of the Sisley Phyto Lip Twist Tinted Balms, the new shades of the Phyto Eye Twist have now been launched. The four new shades can be equally divided into neutrals and brights.
In the neutral camp is Copper and Pearl. I’ve been testing out Pearl and it’s a very versatile peach toned cream. In the image below it looks a bit frosty but on the eye it doesn’t at all. In fact it’s extremely flattering on my 46 year old lids. It can be used to brighten lids, to highlight under the brow, in the corner of the eyes and to blend with other shades. I have eye shadow sticks in similar shades and this one hits the mark in a way that the others don’t by looking less stark and obvious.
The bright shades are Amethyst and Emerald and I’ve been trying out of the latter. In the same way Pearl isn’t as frosty on the eye as it looks in the swatch, Emerald doesn’t look as matt on the eye as it does in the image below. Obviously, this is a much bolder ‘on trend’ shade and isn’t as versatile as Pearl. I’ve very dark eyes so a thick line of this works well for me but I wouldn’t wear it all over the lid without toning it down through blending first.
The quality of these Phyto Eye Twists is exceptional. I’ve been testing out some less expensive makeup recently which has really bought home that, in most cases, you get what you pay for. These Twists glide on so smoothly and are packed with pigment. They won’t smudge and will stay put until you remove them.
The Sisley Phyto Eye Twists are £29 and available HERE.
