The highest praise I can bestow on the new NARS Kohliner is that I’ve worn it practically everyday since I got it about a month ago. Bearing in mind how much makeup I have to choose from, this shows how much I love it.
Previously, I’ve said that older women should avoid black eyeliner but I now need to eat my words as the NARS Kohliner has become one of my makeup staples. In the seconds it takes to apply, it gives a finished, polished look but with a hint of edge.
It’s best eyeliner I’ve come across for using along the waterline, particularly along the upper waterline i.e for tightlining. It’s a propelling pencil that has the creamiest texture and tons of pigment that glides along the inner rim of the eye and stays put for a good few hours.
It can also be used like a traditional eyeliner to give a crisp or smoked out line. However, it’s the way it performs as a waterline liner that makes the NARS Kholiner exceptional.
NARS Audacious Mascara
This new mascara pairs very well with the Kohliner. The USP of the Audacious Mascara is that it gives highly defined, lifted and lengthened lashes. However, I wouldn’t describe it as being volumizing.
The secret behind the hi-def lash look is the wand which has over 200 moulded bristles with lengthening hooks and these grip and coat every lash.
The formula gives a satin finish and soft, flexible looking lashes. There’s no crispiness, stiffness, flaking or smudging. This is a very buildable mascara and you can apply a second coast without fear of it clumping.
Another big plus of the Audacious Mascara is that the silky texture makes it perfect for applying to the bottom lashes as it doesn’t overload them with product.
