Anyone who wants to conjure up memories of a beach holiday will love the new Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm as the scent will take you right back to the sun lounger. It contains mango butter and coconut oil and these give it its wonderful tropical flavour. When I use it, I keep taking a break from working it into my skin in order to breath in the scent from my hands.
It also has sunflower and rosehip oils and together they effectively remove makeup, sunscreen etc. It does emulsify well but my advice is to follow it up with a gel cleanser (or similar) to make sure no traces of oil are left behind. Even when using it with another cleanser I could still feel the benefit of the Trilogy Cleansing Balm with my skin feeling soft and smooth.
This is a textured balm and I’d say the texture is very similar to coconut oil. Initially, it’s slightly stiffer than other balms I’ve tried but it loosens up very quickly and melts into the skin beautifully. Also included is an unbleached organic cotton cloth that does a good job helping wipe and rinse the balm away.
The next release from Trilogy will be The Age Proof CoQ10 Booster Oil which sounds very promising and is launched in October. It will be £29.50 for 20ml.
The Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm is available right now. It’s RRP is £19.50 for 80ml but you can currently get if for 10% less at Look Fantastic.
