There’s no denying the popularity of beauty products with Argan Oil in them, particularly in haircare. However, they’re not popular with me because I get a headache at the merest whiff of Argan. This means I’m always on the lookout for hair oils that have less heady scents and my latest discovery is Orofluido Asia Zen Control Elixir.
It does everything a good hair oil should. It tames frizz and makes hair feel smooth and look shiny without weighing it down (when used sparingly). I literally use 2/3 tiny drops for my mid-length locks which I rub on to my hands then run over the bottom half of my hair. I then very lightly smooth my hands over the top half of my hair while trying to avoid the roots.
It has a sweet, fruity and slightly floral smell which is lovely and not in the least overpowering therefore if doesn’t clash with whatever perfume I’m wearing.
Orofluido Asia is inspired by Far East beauty rituals and this is reflected in the ingredients which include:
Camillia Oil – This helps with frizz control and makes hair soft and shiny.
Bamboo Extract – This helps to improve hair elasticity and provides antioxidant protection.
Rice oil – This helps prevent split ends, strengthen the hair fibre and is another shine-giver.
Orofluido Asia Zen Control Elixir also contains a UV filter but as you use such a small amount for each application I’m not sure how much sun protection it would actually give. The same goes for using it for heat protection which is another claim.
Orofluido is actually a range made by Revlon Professional though you’d never guess from packaging. The Asia Zen Control Elixir is available in salons (go HERE to find your nearest one) and from e-tailers such as Mankind where it’s £9 for 25mlThis post contains press samples unless otherwise stated.
