bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream SPF 30 is one of the next generation of tinted moisturisers I wrote about HERE. It’s silicone and oil-free but ridiculously moisturising due to ingredients as such as olive-derived squlane, marine botanicals, trehalose and glycerin. It also uses water-encapsulations for extra hydration. Encapsulation technology is becoming standard in the best skincare/makeup launches because it keeps ingredients separate, stable and delivers them in an effective way.
My experience is that this products hydrating claims translate from the page to the face. It feels light and comfortable to wear and properly moisturised skin is always going to look more flattering and fresh. The coverage is a buildable sheer to medium and the finish is dewy but not shiny. As you’d expect from a product with so many humectants it blends in beautifully.
It also contains the lovely sounding Heart-Leaf Globe Daisy which is an anti-oxidant and the minerals calcium, magnesium and potassium. It has a mineral SPF 30 PA +++ but to get that level of protection you’ll need to apply approx. 5ml or a teaspoon to the face and neck.
